Great watch imprisoned in a cheap band I love using this watch and I love that you can turn the digital display on and off. It has all the functions I want and none that I don't. This is definitely the best blend of tasteful and sporty I could find for the money. It goes with any kind of attire. Unfortunately, it has a fatal flaw. The band is disintegrating and I can no longer wear it. The band is a soft rubber - actually a really nice matte texture. But it started tearing near a bend point at the clasp. Since then, I lost the race between new tears and my tape and glue repairs. It lasted me about 18 months until that started happening. If only the band was made out of a lasting material, I would have kept this for many years. Curse you Timex!! If anyone figured out a way to hack the band with something that lasts, please post a follow up. I loved it while it lasted.... For the low cost, maybe I'll replace it every 18 months. (This is my second watch from Timex and they have each lasted me about this long. Maybe that tells us something. Timex, are you listening? Good.) Not Scratch Resistant I've owned it for a few months. The crystal scratches easily. Mine has a dozen or more serious scratches which makes the face hard to read. Not a good buy. Non replaceable band is show stopper. I like the watch. I like the huge digital display. I like having the analog dial (I am old school). I like indiglo. I like the easy dual time zone swap. I like the ease of setting the time. If only they had a replaceable band...or a better one. (like the new stainless model sold here on amazon) My first band died at about 10 months...first the little strap that keeps the band in place broke off...yes broke the plastic turned brittle and it shattered. The band itself broke off at the buckle part within a month. (I even used a rubber band to keep the strap secure till that point). I tried to get a replacement band...no dice. Luckily it was under warrantee...so I sent it back, and they sent me a refurbished watch that looked new. Well here I am again...11 months later that retainer strap became brittle and broke off...and the band is showing cracks near the buckle area. So within the month this band will break off also...but it is out of warrantee now... I did not use this watch in chlorine or salt water. I did not expose the band to any kind of chemicals (fuel, cleaners etc)...unless my skin is dangerous...the band is simply faulty. I will get the stainless one next...hopefully THAT one doesn't fall apart.

I agree with the others -- great watch I have had this watch for years and have used the timer hundreds, if not thousands of times for everything from timed croquet matches to cooking thin spaghetti. Once you get the functions ingrained in your brain (they're as simple as they can be) it takes only a few seconds to set a timer. I'm surprised at how many things I use it for. What do you want in a watch? It should tell time accurately. Check. Easy to read. Check. Display the date. Check. Work in the dark. Check. Have other useful functions that don't clutter things up. Check. Band that isn't annoying to manipulate. Check. Comfortable. Check. Good looking. Check (IMHO). Long-lasting. Check. Waterproof. Check (I swim with it on). Audible alarm. Check. Three alarms! For my purposes, still the best all-around digital watch out there I've had various incarnations of the Timex Ironman watches over the years. They take a beating and have great functionality. To me, this model has about the best practical value overall, being rather feature-laden without being overcomplicated. One distinct value of this watch over the "sleek" and similar models, is that it does NOT have an integrated band. Sure, integrated bands look cool, but if you wear the watch daily the band will start to break down after about a year and then you have to send it back to Timex for a new band. Not so with this watch. New users will have to take a little time to figure out the various functions of the watch, but once you get the idea, operation is very logical. The stopwatch is great for training, having more laps at your disposal than you're ever likely to need, multiple timers and alarms, and two time zones. These are also useful for training, but also just useful in general life (moreso than you'd think). In all, a solid choice for a digital sports watch, and an excellent value considering Amazon's prices. Highly recommended. Solved a Whole Raft of Problems This is the fourth watch I've bought for running since I began to need reading glasses for near objects, and its the only one that solved all the problems aged eyes cause a runner. The FLIX option is fantastic and worked without a hitch, and is easy to see at night. The buttons are easy to see and work, and become intuitive within an hour of strapping the watch on, even while running. Its even fairly attractive, as digital watches go. Most important is that the numbers are large, clear, and easy to read even when running through the desert -- as an aside, if you ever get shin splints try offroad running, especially in deep sand: its easier on your legs, more effective as cardiovascular excercise and much more interesting. My only complaint (and its a small one) is that a digital compass would have been a nice addition for offroad runners, but I was able to fix that with a Suunto Clipper L Micro Compass (Luminous Bezel). Other than that this watch would get a five star rating, so if you run on the street, buy it. Great Watch! I've seen this watch in stores for $65. Bought it using my Amazon Prime for $43, free shipping, got it 2 days later. Its a great watch, especially the Flix system. It took me a short time to figure out the right way to flick my wrist to activate the light, but once I got it, it worked every single time. Besides the great features, its a good-looking watch also.

good value I'm hard on watches, and I like variety, so I get many less expensive watches. This watch is the kind I look for. I have a skinny wrist, so the watch can't be too bulky or the strap too long. I'm getting old, so the face needs to be easy to read (this isn't great, but not bad). Again, related to aging, I need internal lighting to see it in the dark - glowing hands don't do as much for me as the Indiglo, and standing under a street light isn't enough. I want a watch that will last longer than the battery, but that I won't feel bad replacing when the band dies, which for me is about $10 a year per watch. This watch, like many from Timex, meets my criteria easily. Not water resistant at all I am a big fan of Timex and will buy only watches with Indiglo. I found this one very hard to read, and the strap is too long for my wrist. But the biggest problem is that after five days it stopped running. Note that the Amazon product description says water resistant to 30 meters. I wore this watch in the shower one time -- I did not immerse it, merely got it wet a little. A lot of condensation built up on the inside of the face, and it stopped working about an hour later. Buyer beware. This watch is NOT water resistant.

Nifty! Good everyday watch. I hate all the big, goofy "sports" watches that I find at all the retail stores. This is a simple digital watch, easy to set, good stopwatch. Not intrusive, doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Function great, Wear poor I've bought several of these watches. Like the others, I appreciate the functions and the simplicity. Unfortunately, this watch uses a very cheap method of plating chrome metal over a plastic base. After 1-2 years of wear, this plating fails, and seperates from the base material. This creates very sharp little "knife blades" on the edge of the case. With the stretch band, you have to pull it on/off over your hand. The back of my hand is always covered with scratches caused by the plating on the watch case. So, I have several of these, still running perfectly, in drawers un-usable. A poor manufacturing/design. I would assume the gold is similar. Excellent LCD Watch for the Money I've owned this particular model Timex LCD now for less than 1 year and it's an excellent watch. First of all, it's very cheap to own. I paid around $23.00 for it. This watch is also very durable and it has a lot of features on it. I always shower with the watch on my wrist and I always get the watch wet and it works fine. This watch has also withstanded shocks while wearing it. I love the features that this watch comes with. I like the daily alarm and the stopwatch. It has the INDIGLO feature which lights up the LCD dosplay in the dark. This watch is very comfortable on the wrist and it comes with the flex stretch metal watchband. I highly recommend this partuclar Timex LCD watch.

A Fun, Good Lookin' Timepiece An automatic watch lets you wear it every day without the worry that you'll forget to wind it. It also allows you to avoid the hassle of yearly battery replacement. The Timex T2D941 is quite inexpensive for an automatic. This good-looking watch is a bit thicker than a typical Swiss timepiece, but lighter than a typical Russian watch. The date window has a magnifier that's stuck on to the flat crystal, which is a bit odd. So far, the crystal has not scratched in 6 weeks of daily wear. Flip it over to see the watchworks through the exhibition back. My previous automatic watch, a Vostok, was not as accurate as the Timex, which only gains about a minute over 2 or 3 days. The crown is a "screw-down" type which needs to be unscrewed to allow setting or winding the watch (it's captive, so you can't lose it). The date wheel can be set quickly via the crown, but the disadvantage of this design is that it's possible to change the date when you only mean to set the time. The rotor does a great job of self-winding if you're a fairly active person (no, you don't need to jog every morning) and a special indicator shows how close the mainspring is to maximum wind. The face is easy to love-- being attractive and readable-- but has no provision for viewing in the dark. The special appeal of a Swiss (or even Danish or Russian) watch is missing since this one's made in China, but it's a nice design and a very good value. Good Watch! I was a bit nervous about buying a movement manufactured in China, but was pleasantly suprised at both the build quality and accuracy. Great watch for the price! I just want to say that I didn't have HUGE expectations when I found that Timex was making an automatic watch, but I thought I'd give it a shot as I don't own any watches that are electric. I don't like to wear my Omega to work every day!! If you like the idea of a self-wind watch that is affordable...this is your watch. It's got a sweeping second hand...a charge meter (which more expensive watches should have)...and a magnified date. Something I wish it had...illuminated hands, for seeing the time at night. It doesn't keep time as well as my ninety year old watch...but it's close enough! I also love the clear back on the watch. It's interesting to be able to see the movement. Best thing about the watch, is having a nice automatic movement for a reasonable price! Good job Timex!

Moonphase Not! This watch is not a moonphase watch. All it does is change its display every 12 hours from a sun to a moon. The phases of the moon shown on the watch are not related at all to the actual moonphases in the heavens. This watch is for VERY petite adults! The only watches I have ever owned over the years are Timex, so I was very excited about ordering this beautiful watch. You can imagine my surprise when I got it and it looked like it would fit a child! I could barely get it on the first hole. It's going back immediately. Please do not buy it unless you have a very petite wrist otherwise it will NOT fit. Classic bought this to replace the exact same watch that I bought in 1993 and was still wearing --- only problem with the old one was a very scratched crystal from everyday wear for a dozen plus years! How to adjust the band Contrary to the review from J. Welch, the band can be shortened, by removing one or more links. The links are held together by little pins, and you can remove a pin by pushing it in the direction of the arrows embossed on the wrist side of the links. I removed a pin by pushing it with an unwound paper clip, which I gripped in a pair of pliers to make it easier to hold. You need to remove two pins to remove one link. Then you hook the links back togther, and join them by pushing a pin back through the same holes in the other direction. You'll see which end needs to go in first -- the skinny end goes in first, and the fat (split) end holds it secure. You can make additional adjustments by moving the single spring pin that holds the band to the clasp. Best of Timex After 8-10 years of wearing this watch, I feel like I owe it a review. I'm actually on my third one; the first had the rubber links in the band that eventually broke, so I replaced it with a velcro band (not a great idea) and it was sucked off my wrist while swimming beneath the Pulhapanzak waterfalls in Honduras. The second one I broke the band on during rigorous use, and beings my second battery was dying, I replaced it with the third watch. Pros: Best-looking sports watch I've found Tough Very waterproof- great for swimming Light is indiglo and bright enough to use as an emergency light to find unfamiliar doorknobs at night while traveling Easy to read at a glance Timer/stop watch intuitively set up Cons: Band is a little tricky to adjust (removing links) but can be done with a little practice Has about 15 pins in the band that can be broken if enough effort is exerted Depending on how you wear it, the light button can be pressed if you fold your hand back hard enough (I think they replace the face with the same scratch-proof glass used on iPhones and make the center touch sensitive for light control, ok, the might get expensive) I highly recommend this if your figuring out which Timex to go with Great all around watch! I had been looking for a metal digital watch for some time that was not ugly and had good functionality. This watch is all of those except the coloring on it could be a bit brighter (it's a bit dull). Anyway, you CAN adjust the bands and remove/put in links. I bought this at Walmart, and the lady did it right then and there for me. Poor lady: she kept on adjusting it and I kept on trying it on until it was perfect. This watch is easy to read. Also, everytime you hit a button on the main clock screen, the nightlight goes on, which wastes battery, which is not a big deal actually since watch batteries last 3 or more years. It has easy to push buttons and the watch is sturdy itself. Lightweight and flexible, this watch will work for almost anybody.

Very pretty but for smaller wrist This is a lovely watch. The expandable band is for a not large wrist. It is tight on me and tends to pinch, unfortunately. It was small for my friend too, so we're waiting for a friend with a smaller wrist to give it to. I haven't had the best of luck with Timex warranty; they want you to send in the watch at your expense when there is a factory defect. This is why I gave it three stars instead of four. It is very pretty. timex does it again! this timex watch has done a very difficult thing , it pleased my wife. The cavatina looks good and has performed flawlessly. A L M O S T.......P E R F E C T This watch -- Timex T411819 -- has many pluses -- but sadly, a minus or two as well..... This is a very nicely-sized watch. It can be worn by anyone, of course -- but is of the size which (used to be? is?) called a "boy's watch". The diameter is approximately an inch across, and the numers are nicely-sized and readable, without over-powering the face of the watch. Around the outer-most part of the face, are tinier numbers. These numbers, "13 - 24", make it a watch to tell 24-hour, or military, time, as well, should the need ever arise. (And it sort of puts the old joke to rest. To wit: "What time is it when the clock says 13:00?" "It's time to get the clock fixed!" : ) Of course, this joke is about clocks, not watches....but it's still quite funny, so I include it here!) Many "sports" watches, (including Timex Expediton watches, of which this is one), have, (or used to have), these HUGE bezels around the face of the watch, usually with numbers "5 - 60" printed, or engraved, just above the usual "1-12" intervals on the watch-face. Sometimes this "extra ring around the watch-face" even swiveled! There seemed no reason for this... No stop-watch function was usually included with such analogue watches, and, anyway, most people are familiar with the "4" number indicating 20 seconds, and the "9" number indicating 45 seconds, etc. All these extra rings did was to make these "sport" watches even chunkier and more inelegant than ever. Even today, most quartz analogue watches stil have remnants of this practice, even if it only amounts to an extra bit of bezel, raising up and high-lighting the winding knob. NOT SO ON THE TIMEX T411819! No extra, inelegant "trimming" around the bezel on this watch! Stylish and as slender as any sports watch can be, it looks just about exactly like the old, wonderful-wind-up analogue watches used to look! (Sigh..........!) As pretty and elegant a quartz sports-watch as anyone could ask for! This watch comes equipped with BOTH glow-in-the-dark hands, AND Timex's trademark "indiglow" feature. With "indiglo", one just presses the winding knob, (or, I guess, it's more proper to now call it a "setting knob"), inwards -- and the entire face of the watch lights up! I owned another Timex Indiglo watch previous to this, (one without glow-in-the-dark hands), and can attest to the fact that, though producing a pleasant, glowing watch-face, too much use of this feature definitely shortens battery life! Also, Indiglo -- used mainly in the darkest of rooms -- if used too frequently -- can really hurt the eyes of someone on the verge of, or someone who actually has, cataracts. With my other Timex Indiglo watch, I would close my eyes as I pressed the setting-knob, to produce the glow, then opened them directly afterwards, so that I would only get the slighter "after-glow", and not the full-lit "indiglo". This present watch, however, seems to have a far less strong, and less lasting "after-glow" than my previous Timex watch with indiglo. Why, one would wonder, would Timex now put BOTH glow-in-the-dark hands, AND an "indiglo" lit up watch face, in the same watch? The answer, sadly, (in this case anyway), is because, if there is any light in the room at all, the "glow-in-the-dark" hands on this model are kind of hard to see! This is because the hands themselves do NOT have ENOUGH "black outlining" around the glowing part of the hand, to help distinguish the hand from the rest of the watch! For the watch-face here is NOT white: it is the palest, palest, PALEST "powder green" colour. The glow-in-the-dark watch hands are a somewhat brighter, "glow green" colour....but there just isn't enough contrast between the two greens -- especially as there is far too thin a black outline around each hand -- to easily see what time it is at first glance. If only the outline around each hand had been just the tiniest bit thicker! Now, this watch-face is VERY easy to read, at SECOND glance, even in the brightest room....but being able to instantly see, at very FIRST glance, what time it is, would have been deeply appreciated! Wind-up watches -- even the cheapest ones -- used to have a RAISED crystal, set ON TOP of the bezel. In this watch, it is the bezel that is raised, and the crystal, (made happily of glass!), fitted and set into it. This makes for a neater looking watch, and most probably a more water-proof one....but I do miss the look and feel of a RAISED crystal. Many people use the reflected image in a watch face, or the numberical window of a calculator, to look at a TV, whilst lying in bed. I know I do. Using most of these watch-faces or calculator windows, I've found that taking my glasses off makes them work best. But when using this Timex Expedition T41181 watch, I find it's better to wear my glasses. Perhaps it's the glass crystal of this watch that makes the difference.... Many people do not know that to prolong the life of ANY battery-powered watch, all one must do is pull out the stem. This stops the watch from working....but you do save on the battery. Keep in mind, too, that, as this watch contains a (tiny) date-window, one must realize the advancing of the date will also be effected. But one can always glance at one's calendar, (or computer!), to realize, if in doubt, what day it is! On the back of this watch, the letters "PR" can be found. As I no longer have the accompnaying literature, I THINK this means the watch was made in Puerto Rico. If so, GOOD! Puerto Rico is a U.S. Protectorate, (and I THINK this means they can apply for state-hood any time they want!) To me, buying ANYTHING made ANYWHERE but in (Communist) China, (and/or totalitarian North Korea), is a good thing. To buy anything made in the U.S.A., its protectorates, or our allies, (Mexico, Canada, Japan, the UK, France, etc., etc.,), is a good thing...a VERY good thing,....and is sadly beginning to become too rare an experience! So, if this watch is made in Puerto Rico....this sure is another plus for it! Do I miss wind-up watches? More than almost anything!!!!! (:_( However, this little Timex Expedition watch sure LOOKS more like a wind-up watch than any quartz watch I have ever seen. Automatic, self-winding watchee have now, almost totally, taken over the "non-quartz" market...but they are often heavy, and usually, very VERY expensive. For my money, this is a Timex Expedition T411819 watch gives just about anything one could ask for, in a non-winding, non-automatic watch. With good care, and battery replacement when necessary, it can last and last. P.S.: It ticks! Not 5 or more times a second, like a mechanical watch -- but just once every second. A good, loud tick, too! Good ol' Timex watches....as John Cameron Swayze used to say, "they take a licking, and keep on ticking!" Happily, this watch not only looks like a mechanical watch -- in many ways, it acts like one too! (Double sigh.........) LOVE IT! This is my everyday watch for work. I enjoy everything about the watch from the comfortable, stylish band to easy-to-read face with second hand. The calendar is set independent of the time setting. This watch is everything I was looking for. Nice watch I bought this watch as a gift to my girlfriend and she's quite happy with it, I have no complains at all.

The best sports watch for people who like to keep it simple I have bought the Timex Marathon several times over the last 7 years and not because the watch itself has broken down. I don't think I have ever needed to change the battery! I wear it to work daily and have needed to replace it because of general wear and tear. The settings are simple to adjust. The pulse calculator is a neat feature if you work out. Both the timer and alarm volumes are loud enough so you can use this watch as your sole alarm clock. A great watch at a very reasonable price. Great watch, great value I searched hundreds of watches before I found just the right one. I was looking for a slender women's watch that was water resistant and had a smooth face. When the watch arrived I was so happy, it was exactly what I wanted! The price is good too. It's a Timex so you know you're getting a quality product. And the pulse feature is very cool, you press the button, put your finger on your pulse and find your heartbeat, and when the watch tells you to start counting, you count to 10 beats and then press the button. It instantly calculates your heart rate (beats per minute)! Is that cool or what? I'll definitely get this again! Great watch for runners I bought this watch as I am beginning to train for some races of various lengths (including marathons). The watch is great so far! I run pretty early in the morning so the indiglo helps me when I want to take a look at my time, and the buttons are easy to press even with gloves on. So far no problems at all, it fits great and is perfect for someone who just wants to know their time (I haven't gotten into the heart rate monitor level of things). Good watch for Seniors I bought this for my mom's birthday. She loves that the watch face is clear and very readable. She has had eye surgery and can see the face of the watch and numbers without any problems. Insanely Elegant Simplicity This watch is, in my opinion, gorgeous in its simplicity. I also like that it is sort of the ultimate "not fancy" watch. It has no extra buttons, no date function and it proudly says Timex at the top. The indiglo feature is the only concession to technology and I love that, too -- it works great. One reviewer said it was a bit thick. Doesn't seem so to me. The band doesn't seem like the highest quality leather (would you really expect it to on a watch at this price?) but it looks good to me on the wrist. I have several much more expensive watches and, at the moment, I'd have to say this is my favorite.

TIMEX RETROGRADE MENS SPORT WATCH. I purchased this watch for my brother, and it suits him just fine. He works outside, tends to be ruff on watches, and loses them. He likes Timex, and I wanted to get him a very large watch. He wasn't keen about the orange on the wristband, so he used a permanent black marker to cover the orange which is on the sides of the wristband. THE AMOUNT OF ORANGE ON THE WRISTBAND REALLY DOESN'T SHOW UP THAT WELL IN THE PICTURE. However, this isn't a big problem. Just purchase a wristband you prefer and use that one for this timepiece. BY THE WAY, THE WATCH WORKS G-R-E-A-T, and it is VERY easy to adjust the time, date, and the other 'thing' which is on it. Timex Watch I was really happy to get the product after a long wait. Although, it took more than 30 days before the item arrived. I was losing my optimism after the 2nd week of not receiving the product. I was happy that the item came in good condition. My Mom Loves This Watch I got this for my mother for Christmas, and I'm very happy to report that this is the one gift I gave in 2006 that perfectly fit the recipient's wish list. She loves it. She had worn the same watch for over twenty years, and that one had finally had it. Truth be told, my mom isn't really that much of a watch-wearer, but had been wanting a replacement for those times when she wanted to have one, even as just an accessory. Now, she wears a watch all the time. While the watch face isn't huge -- it's reasonably sized -- the numbers are very easy to read for the eyes of a grandmother, and the font is attractive. Even the little date number inset on the three-o'clock side of the face is easy to read, and while she'd never had a watch with a date on it before, she realizes now how much she appreciates it. It's a handsome watch in a classy gold, and she also loves the band, which is very comfortable and expands and contracts with movement nicely. Lastly, and I get a kick out of this; she adores the indiglo feature. Her previous watch had a little light-up button on it (one of the old-style teeny-tiny fron-the-side lights which never really threw off enough light, and even that had expired years before, and the indiglo light illuminates the whole face very nicely and clearly in a pleasing blue glow. She tells me that sometimes at night she'll press that button just because she can. What a nice thing to say! :^) To sum up, my mom wears this watch all the time, and I can tell she really loves it. The fact that she wears it so often tells me that it was the perfect gift to get her in 2006! timex i have been a fan of timex watches. in my hands, they go through a rough time getting wet, banged, scratched etc and they still work perfectly. other than replacing the battery, they last and last. they continue to come up with fresh and chic models for everyone in the family. i love them and will continue to buy them for myself and family and friends. Buy This Watch This Timex model has alot of great features all for a reasonable price. The Goldtone finish looks like a more expensive watch. This is one gift my wife really likes. She especially likes the Easy Reader face, Indigo backlight and Expandable Band. Even the date is easier to read than other watches. It is not easy to find all the features this Timex has in one watch. The watch works great and looks great. It's a good buy!

Good for the price Good watch for the price. The alarm is kinda musical rather than a harsh beep. Has a few nice features plus the numbers are big enough to actually read while you are running though overall the watch is a nice small size. . Skip it I've owned two of the Timex Rush watches & loved them. This one has some small flaws that I dislike. 1. The watch band is too long. 2. The clasp does not sit flat - it stands up and catches on things. 3. It was not programmed for leap year. Great watch for busy moms This is not the most stylish watch, but I'm into utility more than style. The timer is great for timing kids' turns computer/video games, timing short naps between "chauffeur" stops, as a reminder of food cooking upstairs while you are working downstairs, etc. The stopwatch is great for helping with science experiments or chore motivation ("Can you beat your record for making your bed?"). When you have time in your busy schedule to exercise, the pulse monitor keeps you on target. I've worn this watch in the shower, in the pool, while bathing the dog, doing dishes, etc., and never had a problem with water getting inside. I've worn out two of these watches in the past 5 years. Each has lasted about 2.5 years. The display on the first went crazy and replacing the battery did not help. The strap that holds down the extra length of band, after it passes through the buckle, fell off six months ago. I have been using hair elastics to hold it in place until they cut through the strap yesterday. For this price, you'd better believe I'm ordering the same watch again!

Great watch! I love this watch. I have very large wrists, and have a problem finding watches that fit, but this one is quite large enough, in fact, I had to take it to the jeweler in order to have it shortened. It is a great looking watch for the price, too. Very fashion-forward, and I love date feature, which is hard to find on smaller watches. The Indiglo function is just another plus, as you can easily see the time in any darkened room or area. It's a tremendous watch for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great looking timepiece at a very reasonable price. Good old Timex This classic Timex with Indiglo has been improved with a more secure latch. Be prepared to take it to a watch shop or jewelry repair shop to remove extra links on the band. It is very hard to do without proper tools and experience. The diagram that came with the watch made it look simple - but it isn't. Other than that I love it. Easy to read, sweep second hand and good old Indiglo. timex"rolex" I have always called the my timex/rolex because it looks like the high priced brand. I wear it nearly everyday, in the shower, pool, gardening,sports, etc. This is my 3rd one in 20 years...so to get a watch at that price that last a good 6-7 years with all of the abuse I give it is a fabulous deal.

Sophisticated Watch I bought this watch a few days ago and I love it thus far. It replaced a Timex leather band watch that I owned for 3 years. I wanted a watch that was versitile, modern and stylish. The Timex Chronograph watch met that criteria. The white face blends in nicely with the silver tone bracelet. I bought a link removal kit on Amazon for $25 and removed 3 links so that it would fit my wrist snugly. The links were removed in about 5 minutes. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and style of Timex watches.

Great value and quality This watch is just how it appears on the site, a combination of light blue, silvery blue and gray. I like the easy functioning of the stop watch as well as the indigo feature since I use mine for an alarm clock while traveling. The only drawback I've experienced is that the colors don't hold up well in a chlorine pool; while it is waterproof, the colors turn a little green after being exposed to chlorine. I will not attempt to swim with it again. worst watch i've ever had i've been running nearly all of my life and buy a new running watch about every year or two. and this watch is by far the worst one i've had. the colored parts on the side came off. when i swam, it fogged up. then the first number "1" went blank so I could not tell if it was 11:00 or 1:00, etc. the color of the band also faded to a gross brownish color. i bought another one with the elastic strap b/c of the gross coloring of the other one, but the watch itself had all of the same problems, except that this time the whole thing went blank after a couple of months. i used to love timex iroman watches, but this model sucks. Awsome buy. The watch is simply awsome. Comfortable as well. The color of the watch is actually light blue, not white as it looks in the photo. Can't go wrong with this one. No need to pay over $45 for it, find a deal on the internet.

Super! I needed a watch that would stay with me all the time but not on my wrist, since a watch on my wrist tends to bother my typing. I tried a pocket watch, which is decent, but I wanted to have something on the outside. This watch is the best I found so far! It is rugged and convenient. It has useful functions such as a down counter, a timer, and an alarm. The display has two positions, the reverse vertical position good for hanging on your belt hook (which is what I do) or the vertical position for hanging on other things (like bags, I suppose). It's also inexpensive. The only thing may be that this thing is not exactly beautiful, but on casual clothing I think it looks just fine. Ideal watch that's not for the wrist The Digital Grip Clip watch by Timex brings all the digital watch functionality without compromise. Case: VERY durable ABS plastic frame, and a secure clip that won't be undone by accident. The pivoting head allows it to be hung from a bag in one orientation, of flipped over and readable hanging from one's belt loop. Functions: Your basic digital watch functions are all there: 12/24 mode, chronograph, alarm, countdown timer, and indigo backlight. The buttons are face mounted, but otherwise just like your Timex Ironman or Casio digital watch. Other: Resists water to 50m depth. Very large display for the core numbers HH:MM so easy to read even at fairly steep angles. Upsides: 1. Best watch I have ever owned. 2. Stays accurate, and have only reset time once in 5 years. 3. Battery exceeded 3 year life by 2 years--and counting. 4. Takes a beating, and I have a rough job at times. 5. Goes with anything I wear, including suits. Shortcomings: 1. buttons can be difficult to depress, but if you set it and forget it, then you're just fine. 2. The spring in the clip broke--after 5 years of considerable abuse. This torsion spring is irreperable by oneself, hence my need to replace it. 3. Too bad Timex never made a dress version in analog. Verdict: Highly recommended. If this watch can last 5 years with me bumping it against something daily, then it should survive much more with you for years to come. At this price it is a definite bargain. Tough and versitile When working in lots of environments where a conventional watch would be a hazard (electronics work, woodworking, working with chemicals) the digital grip clip is a dream come true. The screen is visible enough for most lighting conditions and has indiglo for darkness. I am on my second one of these now and I have no problem with the fact that the clip does break after some time. This is the only product on the market with a tough plastic housing, digital face and modern styling. A must have for anyone who needs to watch the time and work with their hands.

1 glitch but otherwise, so-far-so-good It has performed exactly as described. I chose this one for its plain, no frills styling (all black...I like it that way)and size. I made sure I purchased the largest, plainest model available so it couldn't be confused with the female versions. It is quite large; I like that, too. I'm not so fond of the wrist band styling, but it's not a major issue although I wish it was fastened onto the watch body in a more traditional manner. I wish it had the push-pins that other watches have so you could purchase a replacement band off the shelf and replace it yourself. This band appears to be integrated as part of the entire watch body. It seems sturdy, but if the band were to break it looks like you might need to have a jeweler replace it for you. I mention this because I've been pretty rough with all my previous Ironman products. The glich: I was on an elliptical machine at the healthclub that was wireless enabled for heart monitors and I think the transmission signal may have disturbed the watch function. The song volume spiraled uncontrollabley loud and spontaneously. I detached and re-attached the receiver and it worked fine and hasn't done this since. I'll keep an eye on this. an oddity: This display is very large and readable; however, when you activate the indigo/nightlight the illumination is "reversed." On my previous Ironman's the numbers would remain dark and the background lights up green. This watch lights the numbers green with a dark background...like a negative image. It's fine; I just had to get used to it. overall: I'm very happy with my purchase and I would recommend it. I've gone swimming with it and it works fine - just make sure you follow the instructions and DON'T press the buttons while you're underwater for fear of damaging the watch. The only other thing is maybe it's a LITTLE larger that I'm used to. FYI: I don't know if Amazon updated the product discription to include 6th generation iPods, but I went to an apple store and checked it with Nanos and Classics, (G6). It works. Using with the iPod Touch Since I am a techno-geek, the more gadgets the better. When I upgraded from the "nano" to the "Touch," it meant that I would have to unlock the Touch screen in order to change volume, skip to the next song or pause playing. With this I can merely go to my watch and do those things without having to move the Touch from where it is. Since I exercise regularly, this is great since it means I don't have to take the iPod from my pocket or its holster to do those things. In addition, the watch has those functions that people who exercise like. Namely, a chronometer, timers with lap functionality. And the plus is that the alarm is loud enough to awaken me in the morning. Out of the box review I have owned several Ironman watches in the past and have been happy. The main (out-of-the-box) complaint is that the band is not replaceable. I prefer the velcro straps and would have greatly welcomed a standard watch face that allowed the user to replace or exchange the band. Not sure why Timex did this (and the main reason for my 4 star rating). I am curious as to why this product (that lists for $125 dollars) is now widely available for $65-80 dollars, Perhaps Timex is simply realizing that the functions of the watch do not warrant the price. It is a cool concept and the inverse indigo lighting is also nice (the digits glow blue rather than the entire face when using the backlight). It's great that the watch functions after the Ipod has been placed in HOLD mode. I will try to update after the ski season, where I hope to use my new Ipod controller the most, on the slopes. One other slight downside is that my Ipod nano does not fit in any standard case that I have available with the transmitter unit attached to the docking port...

I'm a clock stopper I have a history of stopping watches and so have been through a few watches from expensive (well expensive for me $300) to 'working person's watches. I have found my Timex T2H721 to be not only a nice looking watch, but hardy. I would purchase again. Times Dress and Casual 2H721 I have owned this watch in the past and it was in sad shape after 8 years of almost daily use so I went looking for a new one. The watch looks good and the alarm function is very handy. The only reason that this is not a five star rating is the tendency of the band pins to work their way loose. The are desinged to be removed so you can shorten the band. I had to 'set' the pins with a small awl by tapping them into place, this has seemed to solve the problem.

Band looks more maroon than brown I wish I would have known that the band for this watch has a very reddish tinge to it. It's almost maroon, not brown. I wanted more of a chocolate brown, since I never wear maroon. I have small wrists, so it fits me great with a couple holes to spare. I bought this to replace my other Timex watch that is too big even on the smallest hole. My old watch also didn't have the QuickDate feature, which this one does. You don't know how big a difference it makes until you don't wear it for awhile and suddenly realize it's a week or 2 off! It takes a LONG time to manually spin through 24 hours to get the date to change by 1. It's SO worth it to get the QuickDate feature! Also I love the gold color trim and the mother of pearl watch face. It looks very professional and classy without having to wear a really flashy fancy watch. I may end up keeping it and just having my local watch shop at the mall replace the band for a few bucks. Wristband too small This watch is good value for the price provided that you have a very small wrist. I have an average-sized wrist but there were not sufficient holes to fit it, so be careful about that as they do not specify the length of wristband!! Very decent. For the price--about $26--this is a great watch. I'm not sure that I'd buy it for the full price. It doesn't look exactly like the photo--the band has a reddish hue and the metal is a brighter shade of gold--but it looks fine, and I really like the watch face. The backlight is great. I also realy like the leather watch band over other band types because it stays the same temperature as your skin (unlike metal). My biggest beef with the watch is that in some vertical positions it ticks loudly (this may be just my watch, though, and it hasn't been a problem).

pretty watch, good price, but..... This is a nice watch with all the features you could want for an inexpensive watch. However, there are so many links in it that only people with a very large wrist would be able to wear it without having to take links out. That is where the trouble lies. It takes brute force to get their little pins up to be able to take out links. While having to use that much force I had to be careful not to bend the other links. I spent over half an hour working on this. I am very hard on watches and go through one in about 6-9 monthes. I will not buy this particular one again because the look of it is not worth the agrivation. Nice watch but band too big for wrist This is a lovely watch for the price and Timex has always been very dependable for me, but although it's advertised as a "small" watch, the average woman would find the band far too big for her wrist. However...the time it takes, to remove a few links, or spending a couple of dollars to have a jeweler remove them is worth it. Great Timepiece, Poor Quality Band The timepiece itself is clean, simple, and elegant--it's a shame that the band doesn't match its quality. The band which comes with the watch is faux leather, which feels cheap and scratchy. I also had the loop which holds the band in place break after 2 days. I like the watch itself, but if you buy this, I would definitely plan on replacing the watchband with a nicer one. The added expense to replace the band may not make this watch such a great value. It's really a shame for the price that they couldn't give you a better quality, genuine leather watchband. Great watch! This would have been a great buy at five times the price, it looks so classy and well-made, and looks especially good for an easy-reader watch. Unlike an earlier reviewer, mine has an excellent wristband (maybe in two years they've upgraded them), and it's just long enough for me to use. I have big wrists and either have to buy men's watches, which I don't like to do, or replace the women's regular length band for a women's long. I've given up trying any watches that aren't easy-reader and which don't have indiglo. I just wish Timex would make this watch with an attractive gold tone adjustable bracelet; the expansion bands they have look cheap and are so tight they pinch. Band broke in 2 days First, the little leather loop to hold the excess strap came off when I put the watch on for the second time. Then, the buckle came off the third time I tried to put it on. The watch piece is great, but the band I got was useless.

Greatest watch of all time! The other reviewers apparently can't read the user's manual. All the missing functionality they describe or problems with buttons is the result of not reading and understanding their users manual. It does all those things they said are missing and much much more! I've had several different watches attempting to fulfill my extreme functionality needs including calculator, databank, etc watches. This watch beats them all with it's simple yet effective functions. The databank is great for storing important phone numbers that you don't use often enough to remember but which are important in a bind. These slots are extra useful because the are oversized...instead of exactly enough spaces for a 10 digit phone number, they have enough for a couple phone numbers plus description. The 5 (yes FIVE) alarms are great for the many reminders we all need during our modern busy lives. Get up, meeting at 11, meeting at 2, pick up kids, bed/story time, etc. They even allow you to pinpoint a particular date if you know you have an event coming up in the future that you will forget later. The stop watch and count down timers both let you split and cut the functionality into multiple sections, so you can do things unheard of on other watches, like have a 15 minute countdown, followed by a 5 minute break, followed by a 10 minute countdown. With the stopwatch you can record event after event, lap upon lap, many many sub-divides of time for any need...and then it does some summarizing calculations at the end providing statistics on the events you recorded...what other watch does that?! It includes two timezones - very handy for that popular trip you make or that friend you are always calling in another timezone. It includes a variety of quick-views and innovations that make all this functionality run smoothly. If you can read the manual. To top it all off, it has the Flix system for hands-free night light viewing...what more could you want. I searched high and low through every major manufacturers web catalog, through store shelves, through anything I could get my hands on, for all these functions in one watch, and THIS IS IT. This is the ONLY watch known to man that has all of this in one neat package with simple operation via just the rigth number of buttons and innovations. I just hope they keep making it. I like to renew my watch every few years since they tend to get a little dirty over time, and I hope that TimeX sees the unique and extraorinary value of this watch and keeps making it without trying to modernize it or fashionize it. It is the best watch just as it is. Solid watch with useful features Since I purchased mine over 14 months ago, I am happy with my Ironman. I selected this watch for the Flix feature which allows the wearer to activate the Indiglo light by a flick of the wrist (no button pushing!). This featue really works. Interestingly enough, it is "smart" enought to come on when purposefully flicked but stays off during other movements such as running or active sports. I also bought this Ironman model for the traditional rubber wrist strap. Alot of current models have either crappy non-replaceable rubber bands or woven nylon bands. I wore the stock band until the loop for securing the loose end of the strap broke. Ironically I replaced the band with an after-market nylon band. The watch face has some scratches on it, but I have used it rather hard during outdoor sports and construction. Otherwise, the watch stands up to some serious use. Function and timing features are typical Timex. 100 lap memory is nice, but I never use it. I do use the timer though with its repeating options, however. Summarily, this watch is durable and loaded with useful features especially the Flix Indigo control. Great Watch for Sports Training !! I purchased this item to use on my swimming practice... I have been doing some pace training and I need the countdown function and the Chrono as well... And it works perfect... Although many might mention that just about every clock has this kind of functions nowadays... BUT... ..What I like about this watch is the memory on it :-) It will store my practice time with the Average Time, Best Time and all Laps and Splits on it, and it stores by Day (year/month/day)!! And with a 100 Memory for it.. I have plenty to keep up with.. The feel of the buttons is something that helps a lot when you have to do it yourself (press the buttoms and swim at the same time)... A Countdown Timer that starts the Chrono right after it ends is perfect for some quick time tracking as well... The ability to set the amount of Reps at the countdown and with different intervals is also a a great "trainer".... The Watch has also a MEMO Function which I do not think I shall be using, but for some it might be quite handy, the memo with the multi function alarm. It fits well and the Flix Technology (I really like that) works Great, with just the right movement the Indigo light comes on... Really Cool... Excellent purchase! I purchased this watch as an Easter gift for my college-age daughter. She is not into the big face watches and since she is a small to medium sized woman this smaller-faced watch was just what she wanted. The color is a deep shade of purple which is good because she loves all things purple! The watch shipped in much less time than indicated and was packed in fine condition. I would definitely purchase from this vendor again. The price was a bit more than I would have paid if I bought this watch in a retail store. But I shopped around and simply could not find a small-faced watch in this shade of purple anywhere else. So it was well worth it! Timex Easy Reader An excellent simple watch with a lighted dial. My choice for an everyday watch. Back to Basics I bought this watch to replace a watch I loved that had a metal mesh band that had caught and ripped countless sleeves on sweaters and jackets. Enough of the high price of fashion, I need a strap that is friends with fabric! I had not had a leather strap for many years, and was surprised to find that it's not only nicely adjustable for small wrists, but very lightweight -- I hardly notice it on my wrist. The numbers are easy to read at a glance, and the deep purple color is pleasant, not garish. And most importantly, all my sweaters and sleeves are relieved they can slide up and down my arm without being attacked by the watch!

A perfect workout watch This is a good looking watch that so far has performed well. I only ran into one problem that has somehow worked itself out and that was for some reason whatever the day or time was, the watch would reset to Saturday at like 1:00am. That was kind of weird but it only did that twice. If it happens again I'll probably return it. Overall, a nice-looking watch and the indiglo being yellow is very cool. Great Basic Watch I bought this watch to tell me the time and beep when I need it to every once in a while (alarm and timer.) I work for the police department and wanted a 24-hour watch. This watch does it all, is easy to program, is just the right size, and was inexpensive. Perfect!
